Pan Seared Salmon with Creamy Cilantro Lime Sauce

Here’s another one that required some open mindedness on my part. I know people love fish and especially salmon but I never liked the smell of fish growing up and refused to try it. At my wedding we served salmon (amongst other things) and I promised my husband I would try it, so I did and I still didn’t like it!

Here we are 8 years later and after reading all of the wonderful health benefits I decided to give it another go. The first few times we had it I still disliked it but powered through. Then I came across this recipe and it instantly won me over! The crispness of the sear and that amazing sauce has now been added to our menu.

No need to change a thing about this recipe. We cook in a cast iron skillet which always makes things more flavorful. I serve with blanched green beans and cilantro lime rice.

Please share your favorite salmon recipe. I’m open to trying some different flavors!

  1. Thank you for following my blog. I look forward to reading yours.

  2. Thank you for taking the time to follow my blog. I hope you will find some recipes that I have shared that you will try.

  3. Thank you for the follow . That salmon looks so good! I sometimes buy ready smoked fillets (skin off) and make a summer salad. Whatever is in the fridge gets thrown in, salmon pieces on top, and I bet that sauce would go down a real treat on that. Avocado and boiled eggs are a good add to the salad.
